Halima Usman Yoman
Director, Social Mobilization & Women Development
An energetic sports woman with high academic excellence. Halima Usman Yoman was born on 12th February, 1972 in Kukun-Gida Kagoro of Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna state of Nigeria. She acquired a Master of Education degree in Health Education, 2021 from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She earlier merited a Bachelor of Science degree on 12th December, 2006 from the same university. She completed the mandatory national youth service on 24th October, 2011. Before her degree, she qualified and gained admission to undergo a diploma in Physical and health education in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna state which she completed on 14th August, 1990.
As one of the pioneer computer gurus in the Commission, she attended Nextgen Computer Technology Institute in 1992 where she was trained on Computer Programming and Data processing. Thereafter, she underwent training on Ms Excel for windows, Ms Works for windows, Ms Word for windows in May, 1996. To her credit, she was given letter of commendation by the former Executive Secretary, Prof. Rashid A. Aderinoye. She has been an educational planner since 1997 where she rose through the ranks up to Deputy Director in the department of Planning, Research and Statistics. She participated in Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) and National Council on Education (NCE) meetings.
She, organized, attended and participated in numerous capacity building and development programmes, workshops, seminars, conferences and round table meetings at local, national, regional, continental and international levels. With her vast knowledge and experience in the education sector, she was promoted to the rank of a Director and was re-deployed to head the department of Social Mobilization and Women Development of the Commission.
