She is an effective, emcient and an achiever through academic and professional expertise. She is a researcher and down to earth academician per excellence. She keenly supervises her subordinates and deploy appropriate staff to perform specific tasks to achieve the desired results. She perseveres with utmost zeal to pursue the Commission’s set objectives taking into cognizance the mandate of the Department. She entrenches motivation and inculcate in every staff in the department problem- solving skills. Her administration spans through management by objective philosophy for the attainment of corporate goals and objectives of the Commission. With this vast experience in academic planning, Dr Rose deployed her academic knowledge in managing the affairs of the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) from 2018 to date. Her success is attributable to the use of cooperation as a driving force in piloting the ship as a critical professional department of the Commission.
A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with (Second Class Upper Division) in Physical and Health Education in 1987. She was employed by the National Commission for Nomadic Education (NCNE) in 1990, to the position of Education Omcer II. She availed herself with the opportunity of the study
leave programme and proceeded for a second degree in the same University and graduated with Master’s degree in Health Education. From 2007 to 2011, she was further given a chance in the same university and with hard work, dedication and enthusiasm graduated with Ph.D degree in Health Education in 2011. Dr Rose Nwaji attended, participated and facilitated numerous capacity development programmes, conferences, seminars, workshops, bi-lateral, multi-lateral meetings at local, national, regional, continental and international levels.
Dr Rose has been in the department of Planning, Research and Statistics since her employment as an omcer. She was instrumental for the successes recorded in book development of the Commission. These include curricula and textural materials (text books), teachers’ guides, surveys and researches, teacher training, journal of Nomadic studies and liaison with the three Nomadic Education Universities Based centers. It’s based on this background that she is heading the department of Planning, Research & Statistics as Director.
